First of all, I would like to explain to you what is a Detox and why is it important to our body to do one.
A detox is a process which a person makes some changes to his or her lifestyle to clean the body from different types of harmful toxins in order to optimize his or her body performance. These harmful toxins can cause a negative health effect.
Every day we are exposed to an unlimited number of different toxins from the environment around us: pesticides, chemicals, cleaning products, fragrances, food ingredients (artificial sweeteners, artificial colors, preservatives, stabilizers, etc.)
Unfortunately, all these toxins are absorbed by our bodies on a daily basis from the water we drink, the food we eat and the air we breathe. The toxins have built up in our body over the years.
How do you realize that your body is full of toxins?
When you start feeling tired, have no energy, you catch colds easily (since your immune system is weak and undernourished), you put on weight, have a bad breath and even start suffering from headaches and stomachaches when less expected. All these symptoms of your body are because it is full of toxins.
For these reasons is important to do a detox once in a while, to refurbish all, every organ, cell, tissue in your body. Some changes are temporary, such as following a cleansing diet and then going back to your routine, others are permanent as having a change of lifestyle and adopting healthy habits for wellness.
